He comes from Siatista, Kozani, where he finished the historic Trapantzeio high school and lyceum with excellent grades.

 

He studied Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Medical School of the Hellenic Military Services Academy) from where he graduated in 1995 with a very good grade. He then served for a year at 401 General Military Hospital of Athens (ΓΣΝΑ) where he was trained in the various departments and clinics of the hospital and at the same time studied at the School of Applied Sanitation. Then he was transferred to the 215th Sanitary Battalion of Kastoria and then to the 4th Company of Candidate Ranking Officers (ΛΥΓ) / Support Battalion of Nea Chalkidona where, in addition to his medical duties, was engaged in the training of hoplite doctors, nurses and strecher-bearers.

 

He specialized in General Surgery for 2 years at 424 Training General Military Hospital (ΓΣΝΕ), 2.5 years at the 2nd Surgery Clinic of Papageorgiou Hospital and 1.5 years at the General Hospital of Thessaloniki “Agios Dimitrios”, performing a significant number of general surgery, surgical oncology and laparoscopic surgery operations.

 

After a short stay at 424 Training General Military Hospital (ΓΣΝΕ), he was transferred to the 406 Military Hospital of Didymoteicho as the Director of the Surgery Clinic, also available at the General Prefectural Hospital of Didymoteicho, offering at the same time his medical services to the residents of the Greek border areas within the social medicine program of the Hellenic Army.

 

Since 2007 he has been the attending of the First Surgery Clinic of 424 Training General Military Hospital (ΓΣΝΕ) and has been further trained in biliary and pancreatic surgery at the General Hospital of Thessaloniki “Agios Dimitrios” and at the Royal Infirmary Hospital in Manchester and in the upper digestive system surgery at the General Hospital of Thessaloniki “Agios Dimitrios”. He has a postgraduate degree in Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery and has been further trained in Hyperthermal Endoperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC), Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery , Transoral Thyreoeidectomy Surgery and Laparoscopic Hernia Repair. He also maintains a private practice in Perea and Vasileos Irakleiou 47 Thessaloniki and at the same time participates in the social practice of the Municipality of Thermaikos.

 

He has participated in Greek and international conferences of Medicine and was involved in the training of Surgery specialists of 424 Training General Military Hospital (ΓΣΝΕ) and students of the 3rd and 4th year of the Medical School of Aristotle Univerisity of Thessaloniki (AUTh).
